Role / Tier: Consultant/Tier 3

Quality Assurance Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be working closely with the development team to support the design and continuous regression testing of the insurance administration software while enhancements are being made. The Quality Assurance Analyst will need a good eye for detail to spot issues, possess the skills to investigate them and clearly report this via verbal and written bug reports. You will assess the software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for regression testing and reporting bugs and ensure that the applications and systems work correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse system specifications and become a subject matter expert for areas of domain within the QA Team.
• Develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
• Evaluate results according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Accurately and efficiently report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Represent QA within the development team; be visible, vocal and integrated.
• Anticipate functions and areas of software that are most likely to be impacted by change and those functions / areas with the greatest impact if results do not conform to requirements

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role
• Experience testing large scale back office enterprise-level software systems, as well as customer-facing web applications.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• U.S. Life insurance, annuity product, and group health knowledge is a plus
• Must have the ability to work a schedule supports necessary overlap with U.S. time zones for effective collaboration
