Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. The VCA India & South Asia provides consulting and solution services for Visa s largest issuers, acquirers, fintechs and merchants in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan & Maldives. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and running risk. You will join our consulting team and play a role in delivering and implementing high impact projects and solutions with our diverse set of clients. This person will develop initiatives to promote balanced and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and outstanding business partner. This role is based in our Mumbai office and reporting into the Head of VCA, India & South Asia. We are currently looking for a Director to drive business development activities and lead consulting engagements for our clients in India and South Asia, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability across their payment businesses. The Director will be responsible for supporting business development opportunities and leading client engagements. On the business development side, the Director will work closely with Visa s Client Relationship Management team to identify opportunities to assist issuing and acquiring clients with strategic advisory services. This will entail client account planning, needs discovery and scoping, proposal development, sales support, and project set up and initiation. The Director will be responsible for ensuring strong pipeline development, and handling end to end business development from initial client pitch to final sign-off. The Director will also be responsible for project execution, leading small teams of cross functional resources internal to Visa as well as external resources (from the client or third-party research or consulting firms). The Director will structure the engagement to ensure client objectives are met and lead the execution of the work required to develop interim and final deliverables. Typically, this will involve the Director interacting with the client team and internal staff, gathering and managing project inputs, analysing data to form conclusions and recommendations, developing and presenting compelling project reports and working with clients on executing recommendations. The Director will have the unique opportunity to see opportunities all the way through the entire lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification to project execution and delivery. The three responsibility areas are : * Business and pipeline development of Visa s Consulting and Advisory services with specific revenue targets * Participate in high-impact solutioning & delivery that meet the high standards that result in high NPS & repeat engagements * Own and develop Consulting practice areas & contribute to Thought Leadership to drive Visa s brand in the market Specific Responsibilities Include: * Leads consulting initiatives and contributes to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities with a wide variety of clients including Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants, Fintechs, Govt. agencies etc. * Prepare client project proposals, clarifying objectives, scope, deliverables, approach, dependencies, roles and responsibilities draw input from clients, local client relationship managers and functional teams * Oversee project setup including contracting documentation, stakeholder engagement, interview guides and client data requirements * Manage execution of one or more project engagements, building client relationships, utilising governance frameworks and mitigating / resolving complex problems that emerge * Develop a fact base by undertaking client interviews, collecting and analysing inputs such as client data, process flows, policies, competitive, industry and environmental information * Design and deliver compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly * Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges * Build solutions and measurable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business * Collaborate cross-functionally (marketing, sales, risk, client services, products & innovation) and across global and regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visa s resources * Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments * Ability to reliably manipulate and analyse large data sets (industry and Visa) to identify meanings insights and recommendations for clients * Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, standard methodology documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice Basic Qualifications: Having already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be familiar with the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team in gaining a deeper understanding. You will be client driven, comfortable managing a project end to end and relishing the opportunity to work closely with clients to influence their future performance. • 10 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) • Strong Engagement Management and Business Development experience at large management consulting firm leading or Portfolio Management / Product Leadership at a large Indian Financial Institution • Deep experience in payments consulting, corporate strategy, or business management • An ability to identify new opportunities for client engagements based on their expressed and inferred needs, as well as the ability to translate this into compelling proposal • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical difficulty • Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style able to work effectively in a matrixed organisation • Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing experience • Outstanding communication, storytelling and presentation skills • Curious, up to date with Indian payment landscape and regulatory environment with a point of view on what & how of client priorities & problems Visa has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy.
