Job Description

The Sr SW Test Engineer will play a critical role in designing and implementing test solutions across all testing phases, establishing and following quality standards to deliver high quality releases. It’s an opportunity to learn, lead and work on new technologies.

Responsibilities – what you’ll do:

Perform API, UI functional and automation testing.

Maintain or develop automation suites using open source tools.

Build comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for new features, regression, performance and end to end testing.

Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Establish or maintain quality standards to ensure smooth releases.

Identify, record, document thoroughly bugs, perform detailed regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

Build and lead development, test, integration, performance and stage environments.

Collaborate with scrum team in refining user stories, sprint planning and test execution.

Identify processes inefficiencies and provides innovative recommendations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2+ years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Expertise in developing and consuming REST-based web services and Selenium for UI automation
• Experience with testing Kubernetes and containers.
• Hands on experience in test planning and execution based on business scenarios.
• Strong communication with ability to collaborate with global teams.
• QA Experience in Payment domain is a plus.

Experience with unit, integration, performance and non functional testing.

• Ability to understand complex enterprise level system, various integration points and good understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on Java programming, Automation Scripting, testing experience in JAVA & TestNG.
• Experience with Selenium or similar software testing framework.
• Experience in building framework and executing automated and performance tests for REST based services.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies, Tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Hands-on experience working with databases Oracle & MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, cucumber and API testing using SOAP UI, post man , Rest client etc.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins or monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Code Quality Governance related tools.
• Hands-on experience with Eclipse or any other IDE development tools.
• Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git.
