Role

Software developer for an automotive embedded standalone product like EWP(Electric Water Pump) working in a multinational and multi-disciplined environment in the Automotive domain.

SW Developer designs, implements, develops source code and tests the SW units within a SW project. SW developer integrates the SW Units / SW Components and ensures inter-operability between them.

Job Description:

• Detailed design, coding and unit testing of specific SW Components in accordance to the BU processes and conventions

• Perform development checks, reviews (e.g. design, code) & static code analysis

• Reuse and adaptation of existing SW Components (where applicable)

• Delivery of the committed work package results within the planned time, effort and quality

• Perform SW unit’s integration

• Perform SW Integration Test to verify SW architecture specification (acting as SW Integration Tester)

• Correction of anomalies as defined in the Problem Resolution process

• Proactive communication of e.g. delays, possible risks, problems during development

• Software development Engineer will be located in Bangalore to deliver projects and developer software adhering to engineering process across the wider company.

• Should support & sync with the globally spread teams to develop best practice and processes, as well as develop greater collaboration with development teams across multiple locations.

Experience :

4-5 years in the automotive domain software development

Technical:

• Experience in Software development & Testing within Automotive domain

• Experience in designing/ implementing control system like BLDC motor control

• Languages : Embedded C

• Hardware Platforms : 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit controllers

• Protocols : I2C, UART, CAN, SPI

• Peripherals : Timers, PWM, ADC, RAM, ROM

• Testing Tools : Labview, Trace – Compilers, Debugger, RTRT, INCA

• Standard : MISRA-C, AUTOSAR

• Management / Tools : SDLC, IMS, JIRA, GIT

• Experience in requirement analysis and management process and implementation

• Experienced in automotive systems and sub-system electronics architecture implementation

• Background in requirements development and management of system critical systems and components

• Knowledge of Hardware-In-Loop testing is desirable

• Familiarity with

• BLDC motor control is preferable

• System level and component level FMEA and FTA analysis.

• Requirement management tools like DOORS, IMS is preferable

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
