The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?
The global VMware Professional Services Organization (PSO) influences the success of each VMware implementation. It is dedicated to the success of the customer and their virtualization strategy and implementation. It ensures that VMware customers are successfully implementing their business plans from adoption all the way to a fully functioning virtualized datacenter. The VMware PSO team includes Implementation/Managed Services, Engagement Management, Education Services, Partner Management and Technical Account Management (TAM) Services.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Within 30 days of employment, undergo training and work on production related activities, also work closely with the team and business partners to understand PS business and Scope
Within 90 days of employment, you will be expected to create and update a project in a tool called CP and Administer engagement setups in Changepoint based on Statement of Work and maintain 98 percent quality
Within 180 days, you will be expected to be completely trained on all the process and subprocess and work independently
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Your regular activities can be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments:
Administer engagement setups in Changepoint based on Statement of Work (SOW)/Purchase Order (PO)/Credit account ID
Submit invoices/redeem credits in Changepoint based on timesheet and milestone completion forms.
Bookings and Debooking process for projects created for time entry
Closure of projects and perform changes
Process vendor / resource expenses
Create, validate and manage purchase requisitions (PR) for subcontracting partners

The hiring manager for this role is Rashmi Karunakaran, Manager AMER PS Delivery Operations, who leads the AMER team that supports the WWBO teams at VMware. She has been with VMware for 10 years.
