Job Purpose

The Elearning Multimedia specialist will use solid visual design and written communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio to effectively serve learner/ audience needs Responsible for providing technical expertise to assist professional work groups in the area of developing new e-learning courses and revising e-learning courses. Supports projects internally and is responsible for tasks and assignments associated with the development of training.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Design and Development

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and deploy e-learning content using web-based modules – video, simulations, and games based on business needs
• Develop content outlines, storyboards, scripts, including compiling multimedia assets for digital modules
• Build and align content to learning objectives, create instructionally sound and engaging learning opportunities, and develop quality assessment tools
• Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and creative solutions to improve policies, processes and tools

E-learning Design

• Creates/Revises e-learning using Adobe Captivate software
• Maintains e-learning content using Adobe Captivate software
• Works with project team to design and develop SCORM compliant e-learning, game based content
• Develops storyboards and scripts for e-learning and virtual live training
• Upload and configure e-learning content into LMS
• Integrates emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning

Multimedia Development

• Creates multimedia products using a variety of software programs, primarily in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Captivate
• Must deliver products on-time with minimal defects

• Remain current with and have a thorough understanding of the emerging applications of instructional multimedia, instructional technology and trends in online education, and implement improvements

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• At least 8-10 years’ experience in the field of training, with min 4-5 years’ specific experience in digital content development
• Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
• Experience in mobile-based learning content creation (preferred)
• Highly adept with the latest trends, technologies, learning solutions, best practices, and methods as they relate to digital learning production and instructional design
• Knowledge of real-world application of ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy and Adult learning concepts and principles
• Working experience in interactive courseware, computer-based training, multimedia instruction, and/or web-based training
• Collaboration with internal teams, external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.
• Excellent follow-up, time management and organization skills
• Strong editing, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign and PowerPoint

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Graduate from any discipline
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Certification in Instructional Design, strongly preferred
• At least 3 – 4 years’ working knowledge of digital content creation tools like MS Office, Articulate Storyline and/or 360, Adobe Captivate as well as collaboration software such as WebEx, etc. required
• Experience working with an LMS required
