Position Description

Role:
Lead Engineer (JL5A) for Exhaust system and Chassis Equipment Installation

Key Responsibilities:
Take lead in design and development of exhaust system components and chassis equipment installation.

High competence and expertise in defining clear roadmap within responsible areas in line with organization’s strategic interests and understanding in the broader business context.

Be a natural go-to person for complex discipline related issues.

Delivers value through decision-making even under ambiguity based on up-to-date market understanding, collaborates with suppliers to co-develop product solutions.

Be an active coach and mentor within the team of engineers working in specific competency area.

Exhaust system thermal and back pressure results analysis and design optimization.

Work closely with ETLs and cross functional teams to develop the system and components.

Product maintenance: Solving quality issues and market support.

Advance engineering of system and components to meet future demand.

Engineering documentation of drawings, technical requirement, functional specification and managing change.

Education, Skills and Experience:
BE/ME – Mechanical/Automobile Engineering equivalent with 10 to 14 years of relevant work experience.

Hands-on work experience in exhaust system installation and chassis aggregates.

Exposure to vehicle emission requirement and management thereof.

Strong in structural design, being analytical and problem-solving ability.

Knowledge of design verification and validation is required.

Good knowledge of application of GD&T.

Experience in commercial vehicle industry is an added advantage.

Extensive hands-on experience in Creo and PDM software, exposure to vehicle packaging is required.

Additional requirements:
Good networking and interpersonal skills with good verbal and written English communication.

Process oriented way of working and a team player mindset are success factors in this role.
