Weatherford is currently seeking a Project Analysts who is passionate about generating financial analysis and reports of expenses, including breakdowns of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency, to help management make better business decisions. The successful candidate will work together with multiple Project Managers, accounting specialists and other stakeholders to improve existing processes and increase efficiency in management Software Engineering projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with finance team in maintaining overall project accounting, and budgeting for CAPEX and OPEX projects.

• Perform project cost analysis and forecast actual costs and future commitments.

• Monitor and help control expenses within allotted project budget. Perform detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metrics.

• Analyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.

• Coordinate with management and participate in developing overall budget for assigned projects.

• Processes and tracks invoices in a timely manner and prepare monthly accruals.

• Generate financial reports and expense reports for management

• Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs

• Helps ensure operational departments understand and follow policies and procedures

• Receives minimal guidance and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

• Perform HR responsibilities including keeping up to date on competency, compliance, and mandatory training initiatives

• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford

• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Qualifications

Essential:

· Minimum 3-5 years related experience

· University/College degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business or similar areas

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Essential:

· Excellent analytical skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Capability of working collaboratively in a team environment in person and remotely maintaining effective interactions with team members coming from a broad range of backgrounds both cultural and technical

· High level of personal accountability

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Open-mind, humble and curious attitude

· Demonstrated ability to effectively work in cross-functional multi-cultural teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects

· Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred:

· Familiar with accounting systems such as JDEdwards and Hyperion
