Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer…

In this role, you will:

• This position will act as a high-level infrastructure developer/engineer as an individual contributor for a complex Storage and Server technical engineering organization. As a member of our Storage and Server Automation team, you’ll join a team of technologists dedicated to developing and deploying large-scale infrastructure solutions that support Wells Fargo businesses. You’ll be using the latest technologies and security practices in all aspect of software development. Critical thinking, clear communication, and collaboration are key to successful product delivery. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key.
• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications, International:

• Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 7+ years web development experience which includes the programming / development of web applications
• Proficient skills in Java, Java Script, and AngularJS
• Experience with Databases MYSQL, and Oracle
• Follow and promote Agile methodologies, especially scrum/Kanban
• Understanding or have experience with Jira and Confluence applications
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
• Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
• Demonstrable skill writing and delivering best-practice documentation and solution documents are a necessity
• Demonstrable leadership skills such as managing time, managing meetings and verbal communication skills

Job Expectations:

• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge storage and server concepts such as SAN, NAS and Distributed Servers
• Working in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process framework
• Exercises judgment
• Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to take ownership of the task assigned
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to diverse business and technical audiences.
• Must be a self-driven person.
