Within this CIO Organization, Compliance Technologies is tasked with providing vision, setting priorities, and implementing technology capabilities for the Compliance organization. About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated & result-oriented Automation Engineer to support complex applications within Compliance & Operational Risk Technology. The primary role will be to support Quality Engineering function as an individual contributor to support end-to-end automation & continuous delivery thereby having a significant impact to our systems/business/customers. All team members are expected to contribute in every other capacity on the team as needed, including other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of QA methodology/tools & proficient in developing test strategies, test plans
• Perform different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Integration, Automation, Performance, Security, Exploratory) & play multiple roles across SDLC (Test design, Automation scripting, Test execution)
• Actively contribute towards requirements analysis & design/architecture reviews, impact analysis, proof of concepts & value creation
• Focuses on testability of application’s features like scalability, reliability, consistency, robustness, performance
• Build reliable, reusable & maintainable automated regression suites
• Involved in building, customizing, deploying & managing the environment/ test automation frameworks, test harnesses & fixtures
• Perform white/gray box testing to validate functional behavior of features & help scope testing for black box test team
• Troubleshoot & debug applications/programs, perform unit testing, code reviews, code quality & security checks for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
• Acts as expert technical resource to staff & provide direction/mentoring
• Research & provide guidance on new/emerging technologies & architectural standards
• Drive customer/stakeholder satisfaction by cultivating awareness of their needs within team & offering solutions to suit their goals
• Identify engineering process bottlenecks & opportunities for improvement. Report risks early & proactively remove blockers to ensure timely execution of projects
• Participate in internal/cross team meetings, project scoping, project documentation, RCA, track defect resolution, analyzing/reporting test results & capture quality engineering metrics to provide insights/conclusions

Essential Qualifications

• B. Tech or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in development/SDET roles
• Experienced in Agile/Scrum SDLC & tools like JIRA, Confluence
• Good understanding of OOP principles, proficient in Core Java & knowledge of one scripting language (Python/JavaScript/Shell)
• Experienced on black box & white box testing methods and applying TDD & BDD practices
• Experienced with HP-ALM & Automation tools (Selenium, Appium) for development of automated tests across application layers (UI/Service/Data)
• Experienced to design/develop/maintain reusable/scalable Automation Test frameworks (POM, TestNG, QMetry)
• Familiar with Static code analysis, Code coverage analysis, Cross-browser testing, API testing & Test Data Management. Adhere to best practices/coding standards
• CI/CD working knowledge & tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Cucumber, Gradle, SonarQube, Jacoco
• Experience working in offshore-onshore model & coordinating/collaborating with business/technology stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a high throughput environment, multi-task & handle multiple technology initiatives at the same time
• Detail oriented, logical thinker, problem solver, team player along with excellent communication, collaboration, reporting & analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in BFSI domain & Risk Management
• Experience on SQL Server or equivalent & writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with Web Services standards/technologies (HTML, XML, SOAP, JSON, REST, Junit)
• Knowledge of service virtualization, cloud, micro-services, containers, dockers
