Within this CIO Organization, Compliance Technologies is tasked with providing vision, setting priorities, and implementing technology capabilities for the Compliance organization. This includes actively collaborating with senior business executives and other technology stakeholders in strategic planning and execution. Deliver secure, stable, and scalable solutions leveraging latest/ optimum technology stack ensuring that technology enables/ aligns with business priorities and objectives.

About the Role
Provides the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization’s server-class databases. Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies.

Serves as a consultant on technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external spokesperson.

Requirements:
The candidate in this role is responsible for engaging closely with technology teams to understand their needs and model data for transactional and reporting needs

The Database Analyst Candidate requirements:

• Overall 8+ years IT industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience as Database Analyst/Engineer with proficiency in SQL and RDMS platforms.
• JIRA/Confluence Proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business partnering skills with resources across the organization in matrixed environment.
• Experience is SQL is a must
• Experience with Autosys, Shell Scripting, NDM is required
• In-depth Experience ORACLE, MS SQL, TSQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, UNIX
• In-depth Experience modeling tools like ERWin, PowerDesigner etc.
• Experience unit testing
• Strong knowledge of Agile
• Strong Experience in working with global delivery teams
• Strong Experience in establishing end-to-end SDLC practices and DEVOPs

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
• 8+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
• 6+ years of relational database experience
• 6+ years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
• 6+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
• 5+ years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
• 5+ years of development and implementation experience with applications, databases, or a combination of both
• 6+ years of financial industry experience
• 6+ years of financial reporting experience
• 6+ years of data security experience
• 5+ years of data modeling experience
• 5+ years of experience in database design and administration
• 3 + years of experience working with large data sets

Desired Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures ,query optimization and performance tuning
• 4+ years of experience with SQL Server database design and administration
• 2+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map
• 2+ years of Apache Spark design and development experience using Scala, Java, Python or Data Frames with Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDDs)
