Wells Fargo is seeking an Control Management Specialist…
In this role, you will:
Ensure timely completion of allocated work with quality and in compliance with relevant business groups
Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures associated with activities and operations
Recommend operational improvements in less complex functions
Make decisions to resolve business specific risk controls or processes under direction of functional area management
Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements during implementation of multiple complex initiatives with low to moderate risk
Mentor new hires as applicable
Required Qualifications, International:
Experience in Risk Management or Financial Services industry, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
7+ years of experience in Compliance, Operational Risk Management (includes audit, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both
Desired Qualifications:
Work in roles with moderate complexity and risk in accomplishing goals and priorities associated with the functional area.
Identify and recommend process improvement and risk control development by managing execution of activities for the Change Center of Excellence
Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders including managers
Interact directly with relevant business groups
Ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives in of the Change COE
Familiar with Risk and Control Self-Assessment framework
Experience evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls
Familiar with various quality assurance techniques
Ability to influence and consult internally
Strong risk and control fundamentals
Strong written and oral communication skills
Certifications in Risk Management Certification (one or multiple) – ORM, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, COBIT, COSO, Controls Testing will be an added advantage
VBA Macros, Power Pivot, Power Query, Excel Automations – Advance excel Formulas will be an added advantage
Job Expectations:
Partner, support and liaise closely with all Stakeholders to implement all key Operational Risk components/programs as applicable to support the Business Engagement Model
Exhibit strong knowledge on Data Quality reviews and Impact Assessment
Ensures effective implementation of Change Management process for any changes in the standard operating environment
Consults to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change
Communicate changes in the specific engagement to the relationship manager, senior business managers, executive sponsor, or other stakeholders as appropriate
Reports findings and drafts recommendations to alert the Business line Management stakeholder on key gaps.
Perform RCSA and Control Evaluations if needed
Strong understanding of Risk and Compliance
Providing guidance and credible challenge for assigned activities
Involvement in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools and dashboards that enable analysis and data visualization
Accountable for execution of Control programs (RCSA, ICP, Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions
Designing and developing various Governance, Operational reports in partnership with Stakeholders
Ability to handle huge data and has strategic mindset, ability to interpret and draw conclusion from complex data
