Job Summary:

The Principal Solution Architect, D&T, SAPS4/HANA-PPDS is hands on role and requires expert level capabilities and knowledge. This role collaborates with Manufacturing, Supply chain and Operations to define, deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions. This role will also help define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for SAP-APO – PPDS. Principal Solution Architect, D&T, SAPS4/HANA-PPDS has primary accountability for the delivery of S4/HANA- PPDS including project delivery, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize specialized expertise to collaborate with Manufacturing, Commercial, Supply chain and Operations to define detailed business requirements for IT enablement of business needs. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices.
• Partner with S4HANA application and other teams to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical financial solutions. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices.
• Spearhead the mapping of map business requirements to optimal technical solutions.
• Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements.
• Ability to drive blueprint design sessions, configure, test and implement functional requirements in the area of S4/HANA – PPDS.
• Needs to be able to lead Business meetings.
• Requires deep knowledge and understanding SAP S4/HANA- PPDS and related business processes, as well as related domains in Materials Management and Production Operations.
• Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.
• Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids.
• Work within and participates in the Change Control process.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
• Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

Education and Experience:

• 10-14 years of related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience.
• Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent SAP skills – system functionality and technical understanding must be up to date on latest SAP S4HANA 1909 release.
• Expertise in PP/DS. Production Planning or Supply Chain Management is a must.
• At least 3 full cycle implementations with focus on SAP S4HANA – PPDS or SAP APO PPDS (Production Planning Detailed Scheduling) for Manufacturing, Pharma, CPG Industries.
• Needs to have implementation experience of Live MRP in S4/HANA – PPDS, Detailed Scheduling Planning Board, Optimization, Heuristics integration and execution.
• Familiarity with system aspects as it relates to Master data Core interface,
• Needs to have strong trouble shooting skills required and being articulate, punctual, organized and methodical Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
• Proficient English language skills
• Willingness to global travel
• Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this
• Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
• Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
• Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Physical and Travel Requirements

• 15% travel, including global travel
• Occasional on-call work required
• Prefer 12pm – 9pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
