Western Digital Hiring for Analyst 2 – Programming Android at Bengaluru, India Full Time

· 5+ years of experience developing mobile applications with Software design and architecture process. · BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience. · Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android. · Working experience with Kotlin and Java. · Experience in building Apps from Scratch is a big plus. · Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Graphql and OData to connect Android applications to back-end services. · Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, Material design guidelines, patterns, and best practices. · Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. · Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. · Knowledge of the open-source Android components and the libraries available for common tasks. · Highly proficient in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, data structures, algorithms and quality coding skills, excellent debugging skills. · Good knowledge on Latest Android Architecture and Jetpack Components. · Experience with unit and UI testing & Test Driven Development (TDD) · Lead a full product development lifecycle from requirement gathering, product design, development, to roll out and maintenance · Strong understanding of SOLID principles. · Managing systems in production and understands release process, monitoring, and debugging. · Good Knowledge of android and language essentials like Android Jetpack components, Rxjava, RxAndroid, Coroutines, Flows, Retrofit, Room Database, Material design guidelines and coding best practices. · Good experience in MVVM, MVP and MVC Architectural Design Patterns. · Proficient in OOPS concepts and Design patterns. · · Experience of working with version control, issue and project tracking and other productivity enhancement software like Bitbucket, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, KANBAN. · Able to participate in multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks. · Experience in Firebase Crashlytics, Analytics, Logging, Performance tools. · Experience in iOS development would be a plus. * REST / Web API overall understanding, communication patterns between API & mobile apps. * Understanding of Azure Active Directory authentication methods. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Critical thinker and problem-solving skills * Knowledge of mobile device management enterprise deployment & analysis.
