The Western Digital ASIC team is chartered with developing customer centric SoC solutions to deliver high performance, low power memory controllers for storage solutions across business segments. The SSD ASIC team prides in delivering memory controllers that enable maximum value in Performance, Mainstream and Value segments for OEM and retail customers. We are growing and looking for a leader who can accelerate the pace of growth and drive the innovation engine. The leader will join our highly skilled team to manage multiple SoC design through definition, SoC Architecture – Design, IP integration, interlocks with stake holders. The position is of strategic importance as the appointed leader will participate in future product planning and above all delivering substantial value to business. In this position you will: * Manage a team of highly skilled engineers to deliver multiple ASIC SoCs from concept to productization * Inspire and motivate the team to exceed expectations. * Work closely with product, architecture, Validation, Verification, physical design, HW, packaging and SOC teams for the ASIC execution * Proactively work with various internal teams and ensure that there are no surprises * Manage stake holders in Firmware, Products and IP teams * Participate in strategic decisions regarding product road-map developments * B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / MS or equivalent, with at least 15+ years of related experience in ASIC/SoC design * Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people * Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of PCIe, DDR, HSSTP and Memory interfaces would be a plus Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
