To manage a single shift Responsibilities & ensure planned output / KPI – Tons of Delivery per day.
Maximize utilization of machinery and manpower with proper planning to meet customer quality and service level.
Ensure despatches of consignments as per monthly export schedules & without delay.
Concentrate on & reduce spillages of the product in each process lines.
Control wastages of products, packing materials that arise mainly due to machine complaint & manhandling.
Ensure & produce good quality product as per company quality standards – without internal & external quality rejections.
Liaise with quality team & address immediately to any deviation noticed & bring out corrective measures to overcome the issues in future
Promote personal hygiene of workers as well as in shop floors. Timely co-ordination with housekeeping person for maintaining hygiene level in the shop floor.
Ensure manpower availability as per production plan to meet the KPI of delivery per day.
Allocation of manpower to respective process areas & plan the work accordingly that the daily production targets as set on hourly basis is achieved without overtime cost.
Manage manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and also lean manufacturing principles.
Deal with all personal issues on shift including interaction with the Trade Union, in line with company policy & agreements.
Manage time & attendance within company procedures.
Motivate & coach the team to operational success.
Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures / controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
Liaise & co-ordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resources/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.
Ensure production reports/log sheets are maintained by respective process executives & verify this on daily basis.
Ensure ERP entries are done in each process stage wise on daily basis.
Report & act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians & production head on timely basis.
Ensure pre-operative checks of machineries in co-ordination with the maintenance team for smooth functioning of production process.
Lead daily stand-up meetings with direct reports and other departments.
Actively identify and solve problems through structured root cause analysis.
Complete tasks as per allocated completion date.
Take responsibility for voicing and acting on issues and concerns
Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to direct reports.
