Job Description:
We are looking for a person who’s passionate about writing. We want someone who can use their wit and creativity to craft amazing content; content that resonates with the reader and subtly persuades them to take an action. As part of our team, you’d have to be willing to take interest in the reader’s journey, their pain points, to produce genuine, helpful content; the kind of content that makes an impact and helps us build our brand. It’s great if you have an interest in reading or have impeccable grammar. But that’s not all that it takes. Saying that you’d make a good content writer because you have read a lot of books or have good grammar is like saying you can build a chair because you have sat in many. Grammar and writing are not the same. And, with the kind of content that we want, we don’t
want just any chair we want a Barcalounger. The kind of chair that pulls people in, and makes
them want to stay. You’d have to be willing to take interest in the reader’s journey, their pain points, to produce
genuine, helpful content; the kind of content that makes an impact and helps us build our brand.
Responsibilities:
Create contextual content pieces (blogs, newsletters, landing pages, emails, etc.)
Ensure content adherence to the short-term and long-term marketing goals.
Understand customer needs, identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts
Track content performance (traffic, conversions, bounce rate, etc), review and update published content as needed
Assist the team in marketing activities as and when required.
Qualifications:
Should have a “customer led” mindset when thinking about technology.
Should be extremely hands-on, driven and have a strong bias for action.
Should be comfortable working in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment.
Should be a structured thinker and possess good analytical skills.
Should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A candidate with 2-4 years experience is preferred.
A strong hold of both written and verbal English.
