Job Description
This role will form part of the Upstream and Carbon Management (UCM) Data team. The team builds, enhances, and maintains the data that underpins Wood Mackenzie’s unique understanding of the energy and natural resources sectors. Data is the key driver behind Wood Mackenzie’s mission to transform the way we power the planet.
The successful candidate will help solve challenges around data processing, making it robust /streamlined by ensuring data quality.
The success of this role will require attention to detail, collaboration & problem solving. The core objective is to deliver internal efficiencies through data. Ensuring we have a supportive and inclusive culture within our team.
Main Responsibilities
Work with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements of any new workflows, or the most impactful improvements to existing workflows.
Create documentation to provide clear understanding of processes.
Collaborate with internal and external customers in addressing their queries well within the timelines.
Work in an agile, collaborative manner to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Handling escalations on priority basis.
Complete regular data processing tasks, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and integrity of data from various internal and external industry sources.
Identify and automate existing processes in delivering efficiencies.
Qualifications
Adopts and adheres to team processes
Meets clear expectations for quality and timely delivery
Is developing core skills to interpret data from Excel
Build effective working relationship
Participate and demonstrate learning and development ( L&D).
Expectations
Graduates with excellent communication skills.
Good understanding and hands on experience with visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI).
Intermediate to advance Excel, basic knowledge on Python and SQL.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Keen interest and passion for learning new technologies or data skills
