Purpose
You will provide process engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.

Worley is working on a one of its kind Mega Desalination Project and once completed, it will be a showcase plant in Desalination and Water Industry. This project includes the traditional SWRO Desalination with various technologies like Media filtration, NF/UF,SWRO etc. along with the zero Liquid Discharge system and recovery systems. We are looking for candidates from Mechanical design background, who has experience of working on large/Mega desalination plant and ZLD system. Ideal Candidate should be able to design the plant independently and take care of various aspects of engineering such as document preparation, review, Coordination with internal and external customer, etc. Role Requirement

• Candidate should have a strong background in seawater pretreatment and membrane-based seawater desalination (SWUF, SWRO, SWNF) detail engineering/EPC for industrial or municipal water applications.
• Direct project detail engineering execution (IFC deliverable), commissioning and/or operations experience on system capacities greater than 100,000m3/day is required.
• Must have direct experience in managing team of mechanical engineers on a large desalination project
• Must have direct experience in designing components – intake/outfall pumps, screens, UF systems, dual medial filters, RO and NF systems, booster and feed pumps, valves, high service pumps, tanks, CIP systems, and key component of desal plants
• Fully versed with design philosophies, redundancy and availability calculations
• Ideal candidates will have experience in and be champions for data-centric design and project delivery methods.
• Knows static and rotative equipment for Desal industry – intake/outfall, high service pumps, SWNF, SWRO feed pumps, booster pumps, Energy Recovery Devices
• Proficient on materials selection for harsh environments and facilities- for desalination industry.
• Proficient reports writing and data sheet preparation
• Proficient in equipment selection and knowledgeable about standards and key vendors
• Flexible to adapt working hours to different time zones.
• Fully familiarized with International Codes and Standards.
• Organize resources, budget and time as per scope
• Organize overall mechanical engineering execution

Responsibilities

• Deliver process engineering services that meet Worley’, its customers’ and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Initiate, manage and if required supervise process engineering project requirements.
• Perform process engineering services such as:
  • participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
  • ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
  • provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.
• If required, act as the process engineering Lead on specific projects.
• If responsible for a team:
  • outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress;and
  • ensure the required services meet Worley,its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer’s requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.
• If required, assist and support junior personnel within the process engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Technical and Industry Experience

• Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
• A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Competent use of process engineering specific software.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Required:

• A Mechanical Engineering Degree from a recognised university
• Should have 14+ years of Experience
