WTW Hiring for Actuarial Consultant – Life Insurance – India at Gurgaon, India Full Time

The Role

This role is based in Gurgaon (India) to support the insurance consulting team of WTW in India.

We are looking for an analytical insurance practitioner with at least 4-6 years of experience in life insurance industry in India/APAC region, enthusiastic to join as a consultant in our Life consulting practice.

Our insurance consulting and technology (ICT) practice includes over 1,300 insurance practitioners who have expertise across markets, geographies and disciplines. We also work closely with our technology team who are responsible for developing some of the most innovative and widely used life actuarial software in the market including RAFM, Unify and other such tools.

You will work collaboratively with some of the market’s top thought leaders on domestic client engagements, catered to variety of requirements of life insurance companies. In addition, opportunities arise from time to time to support projects spanning across different Asia Pacific and European countries.

As part of this role, you will be engaged with our clients to undertake the following tasks:

• Being involved as a senior team member; along with managing projects and leading select workstreams for a wide array of projects, such as computation/review of embedded value and appraisal value for purposes shareholder reporting, Mergers and Acquisitions, and IPO, projects comprising support to actuarial functions – including calculation / peer review of statutory valuations and product development / pricing of products,IFRS17 gap analysis, implementation and result analysis, asset risk assessment as well as asset-liability management etc.

• Assisting senior leadership in development of new and unique value adding solutions delivered to clients.

• Contribute to research and thought leadership articles on WTW initiatives.

• Working collaboratively with a team of junior colleagues and proactively involved in developing their knowledge and ensuring smooth project deliveries.

• Interacting directly in client communications and assist leadership in preparing for client meetings and handling client queries during a project.

• Working collaboratively on a range of projects / internal responsibilities and managing priorities appropriately.
