Various roles and the respective responsibilities under each one of them is as follows:

Application Developer

Design, develop and document web-based solutions using industry best practices

Perform unit and comprehensive testing to ensure overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables

Ensure requirements for changes and enhancements are properly defined, and follow appropriate channels for testing and migrating to higher environments

Troubleshoot technical issues and problems

Develop unit test plans and execute

Communicate progress against project plan to project manager, as appropriate

SQL Developer

Create, modify and test various complex SQL procedures and SQL queries to source and manipulate the data necessary to meet business requirements.

Create new and modify existing SSRS reports for operational reporting.

Reconcile data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.

Develop SQL code to support database and Change Data Capture

Follow database development standards for Microsoft enterprise and application databases.

Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software.

Perform performance tuning of SQL to maximize query efficiency and performance.

Performance tune stored procedures and database triggers.

Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end

QA Tester

Review software requirements, prepare/execute test cases and provide detailed test reports

Ensure Quality Assurance processes are followed

Work efficiently in a high pressure environment and collaborate with team members in different geographic regions

Take ownership of the assigned tasks and follow up with team members until the task is completed

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum is preferred

Familiarity with SQL / Relational databases a plus

Application Support Engineer

Possessing specialist knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications and software

Providing technical support to teams within the organization, and to external clients when required

Assisting with systems integrations

Managing ticketed query system and ensuring comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date

Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures

Identifying and resolving technical issues

Managing coordination at a local and international level where required

Delivering regular and customized training to teams within the business

Preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization’s systems

Developing reports for teams across the business

Systems / Configuration Analyst

Configuration of the business application solution to ensure that solutions are modelled logically and consistently.

Liaison with subject-matter experts, business analysts, product owners, project managers and testers to ensure that the proposed changes in the solution is mapped to business outcomes.

Involvement in the promotion of changes through various environments in adherence with the change control life cycle.

Peer review of configuration changes from other team members, with a focus on consistency.

Ensure configurations are managed as per WTW business processes and policies.

Work with Project Managers and Delivery Managers to ensure configuration is provided correctly in the agreed timeframes.

Track and report config management activities.
