Job Description
The Role
Supporting the Global Qualitative team, you will be involved in all aspects of qualitative research and fundamental to keeping the team on track.
A superb organizer, you will be the key to the smooth operations of the team, recruiting respondents for research, scheduling interviews and ensuring those who take part are rewarded.
A strong communicator with bags of curiosity, you will want to understand not just what people do, you want to dig further and understand why. In this role you will be able to use those skills to help teams understand interviews, assist in analysing the results and over time start to take an active part in conducting qualitative interviews yourself..
What will I be delivering?
You will apply your organization skills to:
o Creating and testing screeners to recruit the best people to interview on a given subject
o The first face of YouGov, you will liaise and schedule appointments with respondents
o Ensuring they are helped through any paperwork and are fairly rewarded after for their time
With your analysis skills you will help the team in:
o Pulling out the most important parts of interviews to place in analysis grids
o Choose key quotes for reports
o Help ensure our clients understand findings by presenting reports in understandable and accessible ways
Other duties may involve:
o Time coding videos to highlight the moments that really put across the point of the respondent
o Writing up transcripts from interviews
Qualifications
What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
Experience supporting or conducting qualitative research in a professional or academic context (Ideal, not essential)1 – 2 years’ experience within market research or a similar information driven industryProven skills in organization and/or administrationA deep curiosity for how people act, and why they do soThe ability to actively listen to others and understand both what they say and what they choose not to
Technical skills and qualifications
Proficient use of Microsoft packages
Behavioral competencies
Lots of curiosity in how people think and feelGreat listening skillsGood reading and writing skillsGreat communication skills and the ability to work within a multi-country team
