Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of work experience in the e-commerce industry, consumer internet, retail/Consumer Packaged Goods sector, and/or related tech start-ups
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree
- Experience in account management, business development, and/or category management
- Experience in relevant industry (e.g. Fashion, Electronics, Home and Kitchen, Beauty etc.)
- Experience with C-level executives
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical growth approach, with a focus on problem solving/growth hacking
- Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills to work across various business functions and influence different stakeholders
About the job
As the Category Account Manager, you will own the business and growth of a category or set of accounts, identify, onboard, and manage vendors, design targeted promotions, drive marketing business, and ensure the long-term growth trajectory of the category. You’ll have responsibility for initiating and managing seller relationships.

Responsibilities
- Own the key customer and business metrics for a set of accounts or category, selection, pricing, margins, inventory, product quality, customer experience and fulfillment
- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality, and business trends, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
- Maximize platform’s profitability and customer satisfaction, and provide inputs to Product teams aimed at improving customer and seller experience
- Resolve seller-related escalations and continuously work towards improving the seller’s experience on the platform, and identify and onboard relevant sellers for the platform and maintain long-term relationships
- Collaborate with the Growth and Marketing teams to design promotions and optimize various funnels to drive user action towards actions that lead to higher conversions
