Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively to support the installation, creation, configuration, implementation, administration and support of Zebra’s Cloud MongoDB, DB2 and other databases in Google Cloud.
This role will perform day-to-day MongoDB and DB2 L2/L3 support activities (including backup and recovery) and operations including release deployments and managing HA databases, while tuning applications and databases for optimal performance.
Work with Senior team members to implement tools and automations in Google Cloud using Terraform, Jenkins and other cloud native technologies.
Collaborate with Eng. Team to support CI/CD Database pipelines built for google cloud.
Assists with conducting sophisticated needs assessments and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Required to attend NOC production calls and participate in on-call rotation
Understand the business requirement and collaborate with the functional team to solution for multiple projects.
Responsible for Building and Deploying schema changes to production and non-production environments.
Identify and implement innovative ideas, including automation of regular tasks, to optimize and enhance database operations
Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls with mentorship from the DBA Manager and/or senior database administrators.
Partners with internal and external customers to address systems issues and enhancement opportunities with support from more senior database administrators as needed.
Responsible for doing query analysis, optimization, and reporting to the development teams.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required. Graduate degree in Computer Science preferred.

Preferred Work Experience (years):
3-4 years of experience in Database Administration

Key Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering field required.
Minimum 3 to 4 years of DBA responsibilities in DB2 UDB/LUW and/or MongoDB in production environment.
Should have experience in monitoring and identifying criticality of issues and trouble shoot quickly to meet SLAs to avoid service downtime.
Knowledge of standard methodologies related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
Expertise in database backup and recovery process.
Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects
Strong SQL coding and debugging skills
Prior experience with Scripting, Automation , CI/CD and Google Cloud is preferred.
Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced concepts with database tools and analytical skills. Preferably, MongoDB,DB2 and/or GCP CloudSQL/Bigquery/firestore.
Certifications in DB2 and MongoDB is a plus.
Adaptable to work in 24×7 environment.
