We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team to help continue to evolve our Engineering Tools maturity and Engineering process with innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will closely work with Engineering stake holders, Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains Engineering Tooling Platform for the SW Engineering Tools & Process (SETP) team. Performs Tooling integration of various engineering Tools to maintain throughput and program consistency.

This position will be part of the SW Engineering Tools & Process (SETP) team and strike a perfect balance of operations and engineering work ensuring that we build stable and resilient systems and give our customers an enterprise grade service.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities

Establishes requirements for moderately complex software develpment tools and process implemenation.
Completes all phases of tool archietecture, configuration and deployment. Carries out all in-process and final inspection activities.
Considers latest technologies and new approaches to designs and implementation of new tools.
Reviews changes or upgrades to existing tools and Develops new technology to solve unique problems.
Provide recommendations and solutions to problems using experience in multiple technical areas.
Applies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivity.
May develop new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of problem.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Understand, Analyze, design and Implement the Best Practices using the Engineering Tools & Process.
Monitor, Suggest, Implement the Tool performance improvments and utilization optimization.
Work with the vendors and third parties to evaluate and execute the any updates or changes to the engineering tooling platform.
Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
May influence the activities of junior level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt).
Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in own area of expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required
6 + years of experience (with Bachelors degree) or 4 + years (with Masters degree)
Experience with any of the tools: JIRA, Confluence Github, Github Actions, SonarQube, Artifactory etc.
Familiar with any VCS system such as Git, Gerrit, GitLab, Github, Bitbucket etc
Familiar with Java Script and Python.
Experience in various container orchestration tools like, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Portainer etc.
Familar with artifacts/binary repository systems like Artifactory or Nexus.
Overall understanding of Tool Integrations thorugh API.
Familar with PostgreSQL or any other database.
Strong with Linux/Unix and Windows OS.
Experience in any cloud platform, preferebaly GCP.
Cross functional partnership and communication skills.
Strategic thinking, strong written, oral and presentation skills.
