Full Job Description
As a member of Trade and Customs team, the candidate should have good understanding of USMCA & Free Trade agreements, HTS (classification) & Country of Origin and good analytical skills.
What You Will Do
Classification of HTS codes (mostly electronics / mechanical / chemicals) for multiple countries.
Checking eligibility and qualify the products for USMCA, FTA (Free trade Agreements) based on the rules.
Understand the qualification checks like Build up, build down, NVC, Net cost and other methods of qualification.
Report and maintain the database of all qualified and non-qualified parts.
ECCN classification of Molex products based on the export control regulations.
Denied party screening of the business partners as required and report.
Process the parts for AALA (American Automobile labelling Act).
Manage deliverables like productivity, maintaining turnaround times etc.
Maintain adequate documentation as required and update based on requirement.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on the process.
Continually improve the process, address gaps, and maximize value generation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Minimum Degree, Preferably in Engineering to understand product specifications.
Fluency in English, communication skills
2-3 years of experience in handling USMCA or other Free Trade agreements
In depth understanding of HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
What Will Put You Ahead
Ability to quickly acquire knowledge on the activities.
Knowledge on SPL/ DPL screening process
Knowledge about Power BI or other visualization tools
Language preferences of Mandarin, Spanish or German
