About the Client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Manager, Vendor Development, for a leading consumer durable company.

Job Purpose: The incumbent is expected to possess adequate knowledge to identify vendors and develop Tools & Die for Plastics, Sheet Metal, Cast Iron & Al Die Casting Tools & Fixtures, finished products and components to meet technical product parameters for our diverse products, through innovative vendor identification, vendor handholding and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
Looking for an experienced Manager for Vendor Development for the development of Tools & Moulds for Plastics, Sheet Metal & Casting parts (Ferrous & AL parts), finished products and identification of new vendors for products and sub-assemblies

Developments of Jigs, Fixture for Machining for Die & moulds

The incumbent must have a passion for skilled engineering indigenisation of foreign equipment and machinery, requiring good understanding of engineering concepts, mechanical equipment and working principles of machinery.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and knowledge of procurement processes

Experience (5 to 6 years) in Tool Development of Casting Ferrous & AL, Plastic Mould & AL Die

Casting experience in the automobile industry, preferably.

Understanding & Experience of ISO /IS quality systems and standards

Knowledge of various kinds of raw materials, engineering equipment and Indian Vendors for such goods

General understanding of various technical QA Processes for equipment acceptance.
