A well-known MNC is looking for a Team member for the product engineering department. Product diversification & de-risking of existing IC engine products in order to sustain & grow in the changing automobile industry.

Job Description:–

Key responsibilities:–

Identification & initial feasibility of new products.

Do complete study of new product, identify the market size & pitch to customers.

Develop strategy for new product manufacturing & product price point.

Interact/have technical discussions with OEM.

New product feasibility submission to customers.

Interact with the costing team and quote to customers.

Development of Samples – Including development of tools & fixtures.

Develop plan for serial production & estimate investments.

Prepare business case for new product & raise CAPEX.

Process engineering.

Knowledge, experience, skills & responsibilities:–

BE/ B Tech (Mechanical).

Worked with NPD/NBD functions (min 3-4 years).

Manufacturing process – Gear cutting, welding & heat treatment.

Experience in machining operations (steel).

The NPD process, APQP, CAD, GD & T.

Program management, team/ people management.

Worked with auto ancillary

Interaction with customers, specifically with OEM’s

Product cost, Purpose-Led Transformation,

Breakthrough mindset

Self-motivated, Passionate, Team player

Product costing – MHR based / ZERO based costing
