Job Overview:

As a Metallurgist in our manufacturing company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and integrity of our steel-based products and processes. Your expertise in metallurgy will be essential in optimizing manufacturing methods, identifying material enhancements, and contributing to the overall success of our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Materials Testing and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of steel samples to determine their mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. Utilize various techniques such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing to characterize materials and assess their suitability for specific applications.

Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve manufacturing processes involving steel. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects while adhering to quality standards.

Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control protocols to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed established specifications. Develop and oversee testing procedures, inspect finished products, and address any deviations from quality standards.

Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product failures, defects, or inconsistencies and perform root cause analysis to determine the underlying metallurgical factors. Propose corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate future issues.

Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to production teams, addressing metallurgical challenges, and assisting in troubleshooting process-related issues. Communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner to facilitate effective problem-solving.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of metallurgical analyses, experiments, and process modifications. Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

1)Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

2)Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, materials behavior, and manufacturing processes involving steel.

3)Experience in root cause analysis, failure mode evaluation, and implementing corrective actions.

4)Familiarity with industry standards, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to metallurgical processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹1,500,000.00 per year
