Job summary
The World Wide Executive Leader Development team within Ops Talent and Development (OTD) at Amazon is seeking an accomplished Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join our team. The LMS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day technical and operational support for Amazon’s Learning Management Systems, acting as a first line of customer support for end-users and product owners. This role educates employees and leaders on how to use the system efficiently to manage the training of their teams, including training, documentation, running reports and managing content. The LMS Administrator will also participate in migrating learning programs and associated activities from the Thinking Cap LMS to a defined alternate solution set. In addition, this role will work with enrollment management, uploading new courses and content on the LMS, marking courses as complete, running reports, adding and removing admin rights, resolving technical issues, etc. This position will also provide implementation support for training initiatives, create technical requirements, system documentation, and support system maintenance and upgrades. Technical support of other learning technologies and processes will also be required.
Key job responsibilities
What you will do:
Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with a team of eLearning and development/production professionals including maintaining the LMS content quality, version control and archival informationProvide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management. Monitors reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancementsDevelop, build and maintains all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integrations and creation, curriculum programs, LMS structure, and reporting.Develop standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines and documentation and ensures LMS governance model is being followed.Ensure that training content is running properly at all times within the various learning platforms – without interruption, quality degradation, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience.Help identify and execute a migration plans from Thinking Cap LMS to defined LMS alternative solution.Demonstrated ability to anticipate and manage change in a highly dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to work with Director level stakeholders3 years of experience in a physical retail operations environmentExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including skills in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environmentProven experience designing and delivering customer-facing content under tight deadlinesConceptualize technical/functional content into something creative and effective.Adaptable – ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a complex, ambiguous environmentDemonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on qualityAbility to take initiative, be proactive without waiting for directionProject management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
