We are looking for an Account Manager to join our fast-growing and enterprising Academic and Government team in India. This is an amazing opportunity to work on helping and empowering institutions and libraries to foster research and innovation. The team consists of 20+ colleagues in A&G (4,100+) in India and the role reports to the Director of Sales, South Asia. About You
6+ years of business-to-business sales experience in a consultative selling environment and with a consistent track record of generating new sales.
Sales experience in the Government & Academic segment is a must, EdTech background and experience selling information solutions in scholarly research, intellectual property or life sciences domain.
B.S. or M.S. degree in science is preferred
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
Proven sales success with demonstrable over achievement of sales targets over several years
It would be great if you also had
Familiarity with navigating multiple levels of a client organization in order to establish contact with key decision makers
MBA degree can be an advantage
What will you be doing in this role?
Sell online information products and software in Scholarly Research, Intellectual Property and Life Sciences domains to the vast A&G segment comprising of Universities, Business Schools, Engineering, Medical colleges and research and training institutions coming under Government in the assigned territory
Achieve new business sales and current revenue retention targets and meet assigned business goals and devise and implement strategies to develop the defined accounts and generate new sales
Promote and sell our products to new customers – this involves site visits, preparing written proposals, explaining, positioning and demonstrating products, phone and email contacts, as well as exhibit activities and develop strong customer relationships
Enter leads and new activity into SalesForce (CRM) to ensure collaboration and clear communication.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time role requiring 45 hours per week (30-40% travel)
