Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Microsoft Cloud business is growing at a very fast pace and the supply chain to fulfill capacity needs for capacity hungry Cloud business is getting complex with new scenarios emerging continuously. We are recognized as a Top 25 supply chain by Gartner, and are looking for people who can raise the bar and get innovative in solution envisioning, have a high bias for action and obsess over customer experience.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a proven, passionate and high energy Principal Program Manager to help build our Digital Platforms & Analytics capabilities that enable data-driven decision making and end-to-end supply chain visibility in support of Microsoft’s cloud supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead Product and program management accountability to define and launch the Self Service Analytics capabilities that drive the desired business outcomes.

• Lead partnership with internal and external stakeholders in identifying gaps across people, processes, and infrastructure that need to be addressed to get to future state capabilities

• Build an execution plan to close the gaps identified above with an emphasis on efficiency, effectiveness, and overall operational excellence through the identification of clear owners, deliverables, and timelines

• Identify appropriate stage gates needing decision from executives, facilitate discussions and drive decision making to achieve program goals

• Drive prioritization of work towards resolution of the most glaring, urgent, and critical gaps, and hurdles, escalating issues to appropriate levels of management in a timely manner to avoid risk to the overall program

• Manage coordination between parallel workstreams and serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners

• Adapt program goals, plans and milestones to the organization’s evolving needs

• Break ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features with clearly articulated specs.

• Closely partner with engineering teams to land key product capabilities and business goals.

• Continuously engage with customers, partners and leadership to provide updates on product roadmap and collect actionable feedback.

• Proactively identify critical risks to the product roadmap; KPIs and mitigate those risks by working across all the teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or Computer Science or Quantitative fields or equivalent experience

• 15+ years combined experience into Product; Program Management, Data Science/Analytics and/or Software Development.

• 6+ years of experience leading program management and/or implementing analytical/automation systems.

•Strong understanding of analytics platforms and building end-to-end analytics portfolios.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced product manager with demonstrated success in managing schedule, scope, cost, value realization, and OKRs for complex multiyear programs

• Ability to partner with and lead internal and external teams to build credibility and trust while driving alignment around common strategy/ program goals

• Executive presence and maturity in communicating with executives

• Self-motivated with superior problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically but detailed oriented to support hypothesis with facts and data

• Good understanding of Supply Chain processes and data flows with familiarity with Planning & Optimization/ERP platforms and tools

• Strong written communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
