Position Description:

At Guidehouse, the ESG Analyst is someone who demonstrates qualitative and quantitative research expertise with an emphasis on synthesize data and trends from a variety of sources to develop strategic insights that will become the foundation of Guidehouse Insights Energy Technologies research programs across Environmental, governance, and corporate social responsibility. The ESG Analyst will collect, streamline, and standardize data and insights; conduct analysis to help Subject Matter Experts; and improve performance across different programs and evaluations. In addition, this person will be responsible for doing custom research based on specific queries related to Investor relation, corporate social responsibility, and governance.

As such the ESG Analyst should have a strong business acumen and the ability to leverage a wide array of data and research analysis techniques to develop innovative recommendations. The ideal candidate is passionate about different secondary and primary research approaches, interpreting data, providing thought leadership/insights, and making recommendations in line with business goals.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct deep dive research into global companies’ business activities using sources such as company websites, annual reports, sustainability reports, and other publicly available documents.

• Analysis of the collected data with respect to the client defined criteria / questionnaire for the purpose of generating ESG rating of the company supported with comments.

• Generating investors reports by assessing company performance against the ambition spectrum like contributions in Just inclusive economy, clean energy development, energy efficiency goals, Scope 1,2 & 3 disclosure, GHG goals, NetZero and carbon neutral goals, adherence to Paris accord etc.

• Writing structured summary on overall ESG performance of the company.

• Preparing quarterly thematic reports on ESG related topic.

• Work on feedbacks received from clients in a timely manner and coordinate with project team in case of any escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and 1-3 years of experience in ESG research/consulting work experience

• Excellent quantitative skills and ability to interpret data from multiple sources, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Naturally curious and passionate about numbers, data, insights, and applications

• Excellent communication skills; able to interact stakeholders at different levels and present take-away insights

• Capable of anticipating potential issues/problems and developing solutions when needed

  Mandatory Skills

• Experience working on large datasets in MS Excel

• Experience working on Excel Dashboards, Reports and Corporate Slide decks
