Required Work Experience : Safety officer

Degree : Associate of Science – AS | Associate of Arts and Sciences – AAS | Bachelor of Arts – BA

Required Knowledge

• Good interaction and research skills
• Must be able to perform at odd times and must be available to perform at any time
• Sound understanding of different protection precautions like flame safety

Required Skills : Injury Prevention, Health Advocacy, Safety Testing, Safety Management, Health and Safety Management System

Primary Responsibility

• Conducts job hazard analyses
• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed
• Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations
• Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations
• Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandated by regulations
• Performs emergency response drills
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
