This email is in regards to my interest in applying for the post of Program Associates (Integrated Farming System), recently posted jobs at Devnet website. I am writing in response to your advertisement for the above post and I am interested in this position.
I have done my M.A. in Development Studies from Central University of South Bihar; recently I am working with Aspire Foundation from April 2021 only. Before that I was working at Corstone India Foundation as Program Officer from April 2019 to March 2021 which works for resilience of adolescent boys and girls of middle school and KGBV, we give training to teachers on such topics then we did sessions on topics related to resilience and adolescent health which are given on manuals and I as a Programme Officer also went for monitoring and evaluation. Before that I was working at Aga Khan Rural Support Program (India) as Development Organizer, in this I have given 5 VCs under me and 5 Villages of Singhwara Block, Darbhanga for community development by giving them training on Health, water, sanitation, group irrigation system, then got transferred in MESHA Project in Aga Khan only and this project works for livelihood and women empowerment. I have prepared my dissertation on topic “Menstrual Hygiene, Sanitation and Women’s Health, for that I have spend 2 weeks in Patori block, Samastipur and went to school going girls and non school going girls to check their understanding on menstruation and their practices regarding menstruation, also talked with their mother’s. I have also done 2 months’ internship in West Champaran with SaciWaters and Water action related to ‘Indigenous Knowledge and Technologies related to Save Drinking Water, and Sanitation’ to check what practices villages are having to get their hand pumps water free from arsenic and iron, again in Samastipur for 1 week related to hygiene practice among women and girls during menstrual cycle, Dariyapur again for sanitation, and also in Dobhi for 1week at grassroots level with Jeevika.
As I have done M.A in development studies, so the nature of my studies prepared me for the position such as this one and for social work. As I have work in MESHA Project, so I have experience in livelihood regarding Goat Health Management. Wassan is also working for Livelihood, education Health, Women empowerment, etc,. so this will help me to work on such things which are required for above positions and help me in my career growth, whatever I have learned during my field work and during work, that I will add toWassan. Some points excite me like- It works for livelihood, women empowerment, so as I have also had experience working with the same subject. As you can see in my resume, where I have worked and gained experience. My mother tongue is Bhojpuri, but I am able to speak English, Hindi and Bhojpuri.
I feel that I am suitable for this role as I have worked as a social worker for the development of rural areas. I consider myself to be a friendly, efficient and enthusiastic worker. I am very keen to work for an ambitious organisation such as yours.
