I am Aarthi.Nekkanti, completed my Master’s program in Agricultural Entomology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India. As a part of my master’s program I worked on understanding the molecular mechanism underlying the virus-vector interaction. The title of my thesis is “Changes in the transcriptome of Bemisia tabaci associated with begomovirus infection”.
My research article “Early alteration of replication factor, cell adhesion receptor, and intracellular trafficking-associated gene expression in Bemisia tabaci Asia II 1 by chilli leaf leaf curl virus to become circulative” is under initial validation in Frontiers in Plant Science.
Another research paper “Transovarial transmission of dolichos yellow mosaic virus by its vector, Bemisia tabaci Asia II 1” is considered for publication in Frontiers in Microbiology, section Microbe and Virus Interactions with Plants
I have generated an online database “BtChiLCVDb: Bemisia tabaci Asia II 1 transcriptome database in response to chilli leaf curl virus”. It contains the raw data of my research work. I participated in Various National and International conferences to present my research findings.
