Salary Range: ?10,000 – ?20,000/month

Experience Level: 1 to 3 years

Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality furniture designs and a strong understanding of technical drawing processes. This role involves working closely with the design and production teams to develop precise designs for furniture items, focusing on metal and modular furniture components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Drafting:

– Create detailed 2D Technical Drawings and 3D Models for furniture pieces based on client and project requirements.

– Translate concepts and ideas into technical drawings and blueprints suitable for production.

– Ensure all designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet manufacturing standards.

2. Metal Drawing Expertise:

– Develop precise technical drawings specifically for furniture components made of metal.

– Ensure accuracy in measurements and details for fabrication.

3. Modular Drawing Expertise:

– Create modular furniture designs with a focus on usability, assembly, and durability.

– Optimize designs for efficient production and cost-effectiveness.

4. Collaboration and Coordination:

– Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.

– Communicate with other team members to incorporate feedback into design modifications.

5. Documentation and Standards:

– Maintain organised records of all designs, drawings, and project details.

– Stay updated with the latest trends and standards in furniture design and manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– Proficiency in creating technical drawings and 2D designs using software like Auto Cad, Sketch up or Rhino.

– Strong knowledge and experience in metal drawing and modular drawing.

– Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and clear drawings.

– Creative mindset with a passion for furniture design.

– Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with other departments.

– Basic understanding of furniture manufacturing processes is a plus.
