ABB Hiring for Buyer at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

You will be working as Buyer, and will be the part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Production Manager and will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities

Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team

Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists

Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions

Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval

Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value. Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information

Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures

Conducting all procurement and logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures

Your background

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing, buying and procurement

Proven problem-solving capability

Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
