Able Digital Marketing is a global branding agency based in Vancouver, Canada. We are adding more full-time remote beauty products Packaging Designers to our creative team!

Our clients sell their products in some of the leading North American leading retailers including the top supermarkets, drug stores and department stores. Their product ranges include skincare, hair care, bar soaps, luxury bath products, candles, cosmetics, gift sets and much more.

Responsibilities and Duties

• You’ll be bringing an expert skill set to the table, demonstrating a thorough knowledge in packaging, retail, POS and print.
• You know how to understand consumer trends and execute your ideas to work within the North American retail market.
• Research competitive products and understand your designs standing in the market place.
• Produce industry-leading packaging design that raises the brand profile, engages with consumers, and clearly communicates the product’s unique selling point.
• Creating artwork concepts from scratch within tight deadlines.
• Propose new ideas, investigate new materials, and printing techniques.
• Checking artwork on a technical level, including colour separation/blending and retouching.
• Responsible for ensuring production is to the highest quality standards and adherence to all guidelines.
• Carry out high quality retouching of images.
• Produce print-ready artwork of packaging.
• Creating cutter guides and die lines for packaging.
• Creating assets for branded marketing to use across multiple social media platforms and branded websites.
• Design shelf product displays, posters and related marketing materials.
• Mock Ups – Create realistic, professional 2D/3D mock ups of conceptual products for customer presentations and display at trade exhibitions
• Trade shows/Exhibitions – Creating corporate branded elements for trade show stands such as wall fabrics, signage, posters, banners and etc.
• Sales Presentations – Create product pitches, flyers and etc.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a creative designing environment
• Experience in 3D Drawing
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to deliver high quality results
• Excellent communicator both verbally, graphically and through the use of sketches.
• Experience working on an Apple Mac platform
• Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• 3D drawing/rendering software’s
