Project Role Description :Manage the physical components of a data center, such as floor space, air conditioning, power, installations. Manage vendors and vendor components. Typically manage 24/7 services, such as batch management and system event monitoring. Manage data center operators.

Key Responsibilities : 1 Provision database instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations 2 Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases 3 Managing the database storage structures 4 Prepare documentations and specifications 5 Proactively monitoring the databases health and taking preventive or corrective action as required 6 Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc 7 Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary

Technical Experience : 1 Should have 5 to 7 years experience Strong proficiency in DB2 database management 2 Decent experience with recent versions of DB2 3 Installing Oracle Software and Creating database 4 Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels 5 DDL, DML, DCL, partitioning on DB2 6 Set up performance/tuning monitoring for DB2 7 Database monitoring and alerts 8 Improve database availability and uptime by ensuring the appropriate monitoring and alerting configurations 3 Installing Ora
