Qualifications
Strong database administration (preferred Hadoop DBA)
Experience with one or more of the below technologies is required:
Experience with Hadoop / Cloudera: 3-5 yrsExperience with Oracle/Oracle RAC/Data guard/Golden Gate: 5+ yrsExperience with MongoDB: 3+ yrsExperience with Kafka: 2 yrs
Practical experience in pro-active and reactive database performance tuning.
Strong operational expertise with good troubleshooting skills in understanding system CPU/Memory/IO capacity and bottlenecks.
It is expected to have an automation mindset to build streamlined solutions requiring minimal manual intervention as possible.
Key requirement is ability to troubleshoot various issues and multi task in a very fast paced environment.
Supporting large scale Databases on Unix based systems, preferably Linux and AIX
Extensive experience with different backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions
Recent experience installing, configuring and managing Oracle 19c environments.
Ability to support 24*7 shifts with On call weekend coverage
Preferred skills include:
3-5 yrs of experience with Cloud database deployments are desirable
Mandatory experience with Hadoop/Cloudera (Big Data)
MongoDB and Kafka are highly desirable.
Experience with automation using Python
Healthcare experience is highly desirable.
Databases hosted on virtualized platforms (VMware, AIX LPARs)

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts in an easy to understand form is essential.Should be a team player, with excellent organizational skills. Should have a positive attitude and be willing to bring A game to the table every dayOperates under general direction. Assignments are very broad in nature and of the highest level of complexity. Ability to influence and have impact beyond own area of responsibility.Knowledge encompasses entire scope of a technical discipline and has received recognition for development of one or more unique sub-specialties.A learning mentality is a must and willingness to get familiar with and develop expertise in new and varied database technology platforms both on-premises and in the cloud.
