Project Background

Preparation of Comprehensive Development Plan and the development guidelines to promote growth and guide and regulate present and future development of Planning area, reviews the current socio-economic and spatial development of a city and sets out goals
and guidelines for its future expansion with the vision of Sustainable “MUNDRA port SMART City” provides the overall foundation for all land use regulation in the planning area including Mundra Port Industrial area with effective transportation and Utilities networks, evacuation of Port traffic and City traffic, Social infrastcrture, sufficient amenities & facilities.

Roles of Urban Planner An Urban Planner is a professional who is responsible for using land planning to develop communities, physical facilities, and accommodate population growth in Planning area. To manage planning projects, involved in the development of design ideas and their implementation

Required Skills

 Analytical skills – Analyze information and data from a variety of sources, such as market research studies, censuses, and environmental impact studies. They use statistical techniques and technologies such as geographic information systems (GIS) in their analyses to determine the significance of the data.
 Communication skills – Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
 Writing skills – Need strong writing skills because they often prepare research reports, write grant proposals, and correspond with colleagues and stakeholders.
 Software – ACAD, MS Office, ADOBE PS, GIS (preferable),

Responsibilities

1) Preparation of Conceptual Development Proposal (Land use & Infrastructure), Urban development Guidelines for Landuse.
2) Primary & secondary information collection.
3) Preparation of Drawings/documents/presentations/reports related to proposal for discussion with the senior management.
4) Field visit for both visual and physical surveys.
5) Assisting in planning proposals/town planning schemes and plan preparation in accordance with the statutory guidelines, Acts, applicable Rules & Regulations etc. 6) Existing Landuse survey, collections of revenue records necessary for preparation
of planning proposals/TP Schemes.
7) Review, analysis and feedback to Senior on the proposed development in reference to the existing ground development conditions.
8) 2D/3D presentations using latest software viz ACAD, Photoshop, Google SketchUp etc.
9) Detail plan preparations sufficient to implement the plan.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years
• Qualification: Architect Urban Planner , B. Arch / M. Arch.
