Purpose of the Position :
- Lead and guide a team of operators and Technicians for safe operation of plant
- Emergency handling and risk management during exigency
- Co-ordinate with internal and external agency (Port and BD Team).
Strategic :
- Generation loss on account of low bunker level / bunker’s running out of coal.
- Safety of the people both internal & external and the CHP equipment.
- Ensuring sufficient coal stock availability at plant with the coordination of BD & West port and APL main plant operation.
- Maintain high standards in CHP Housekeeping and create safe working environment
- Minimising APC by optimum utilization of all CHP equipment.
- Minimising Coal Loss by optimum utilization of coal yard Management FIFO System.
- Guide and Monitor Operation of CHP by contractor through proper SOP; trainings & Best practices in CHP
- Monitoring and issuing day to day work permit for healthiness of CHP.
- Monitoring of PM / CM Compliance
Operational :
- Follow yard management best practices.
- Safety of the people both internal & external and the CHP Phase-3&4 equipment.
- Ensuring sufficient stock of fuel availability with the coordination of Mundra & West port and APL main plant operation.
- Maintain high standards in CHP Housekeeping and create safe working environment
Role & Responsibilities
- To run and maintain the CHP with optimum load and efficiency to achieve to support generation. Run and maintain all CHP Equipment and, fire and dust suppression systems. & man power planning.
- Seasonal plan preparation & Implementation.
- Stack yard (FIFO)& all CHP drains management in all seasons
- Implement best practises in operation.
- Check the defects and follow up work order and pursue permits
- Handle different emergencies in a Coal Handling Plant (CHP).
- Maintain high standards of safety
- Coordination with fuel management team
- Coal compaction, churning & water sprinkling monitoring
- Monitoring of fugitive emission and dust separation system
- Monitoring and regular trial for healthiness of firefighting / detection system
- Ensuring the full compliance of PTW system
- Ensuring compliance of DISHA process
- Ensuring safety of people and equipment
- Compliance of environmental parameters
- Optimization of APC & BUF
- Monitoring of performance of equipment
- Monitoring of yard management equipment
- Testing, calibration and interlock and protection
- Implementation of DuPont recommendation
- Monitoring of housekeeping, spillage, leakage
- Pile height monitoring, Implementing Coal yard Guide lines.
- Monitoring of Auto Coal Sampler
- Housekeeping quality check
