Operation of Turbine, generator and its auxiliaries. Switchyard opertaion, Switch gear normalisation. Interlock & protection of all equipment of coal based thermal power plant (Not less than 200MW unit size) operation. Operation of Turbine, generator and its auxiliaries. Switch gear normalisation. Active participation in 5S, IMS.

• Normal and efficient operation of units.
• Safe start and shut down of units.
• Safe isolation of equipment and normalisation /restoration of equipment and system.
• Optimize and maximise the generation as per requirement of BD and SLDC/SRLDC.
• Safety of self, co-workers and machinery.
• Maintain of logbooks, log sheets and other operational documents.
• Operation and isolation of switchyard, switgear
• Carrying out trial run of critical equipment and tests.
• Monitoring of Turbine, generator and its auxiliaries.
• Safe isolation and normalization of equipment.
• Routine changeover of equipment and trail of emergency drives.
• Handling the emergencies (internal / grid problems)
• Preparation of permit for issuing to maintenance.
• Notifying and timely reporting about defects, problems in plant to shift in charge.
• Developing and grooming sub ordinates

BE (Power / Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics). NPTI/BOE are added qualifications desired. Minimum 3 years experience in power plant operation of more than 200 MW.
