PURPOSE OF THE ROLE (This section describes the basic reason why the role exists)
The purpose of this role is to Liaison, creating and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in Central/ State/ Local Govt. bodies and working closely with Business Leaders and oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution with the collaboration of senior leadership and departmental heads.
CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Areas of Accountability
Play a pivotal role in setting up structured liaising plan, develop, administer, and evaluate activities and operations related to the Governmental affairs and Ministries
Represent an issue pertaining to policy interpretation & clarification to the respective Authorities (i.e. Central / State Govt. & Independent bodies) in conjunction with respective Business Team/ Consultant for resolving the disputes at Group level.
Provide day-to-day advice/opinions and to formulate strategy to be adopted for a case/ matter at various forums.
Maintaining & augmenting relationship with various government officials of various Departments / Ministries & Authorities.
Keeping a foresight at the bureaucratic & political atmosphere and its impact on entire Group Companies.
Creating and communicating a favorable image for entire Group Companies in front of the Government Departments / Ministries & Authorities.
Help businesses on Procedural SOPs for compliance to cut down potential litigations.
Getting the Approvals, Permissions from the required Industry, doing follow-up with the Government Departments.
ROLEHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Should have minimum 14+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Affairs and Regulatory matters
