CRO-Unit 1 (AM / DM / Asso. Mgr)

Purpose of the Position (Why the job exists in the company & the expected outcome)

• For safe operation of plant through DCS.
• Guide the Field operators for day-today operation.
• Emergency handling and risk management during exigency.

Principle Accountabilities
(Strategic, Operational, Financial, People development & growth etc.)

• For safe, reliable and economic plant operation.
• Achieving budgeted targets of PLF, Availability.
• Reduction in Aux power consumption, Specific oil consumption, Specific DM consumption, leakages.
• Safe start up and shutdown of units.
• Generation as per the direction of Business development and SLDC/WRLDC to maximise the profit.
• Monitoring Housekeeping of plant area.
• Development of subordinates by deputing for scheduled training

Role & Responsibilities

• Operation of thermal power plants, and Balance of Plant with optimum efficiency.
• Cold Start up, Hot Start-up, Warm start up, Normal Operation, Emergency Handling and Safe shut down of Units.
• Line up of the unit and its auxiliaries, Changeover of equipment’s, routine testing of protection system and annunciation system.
• Issue and cancellation PTW (Permit to Work) system, safe isolation, personnel safety and equipment safety.

• Monitor plant operations and handle emergencies including shut-down of units and load throw-off to control generation as per requirement.
• Instruction Field operators for safe operation of Power Plant.
• Emergency Equipment Trial and restoration of process and Equipment.
• Familiar with Indian Electricity Act and Rules & Knowledge of load scheduling.

Qualifications

Essential Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mech./ Elect./ Power)

Desired Qualification: M.E / M.Tech (Mech./ Elect./ Power) NPTI/ BOE certification
