• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Certification in any of the following: Content Writing, Creative Writing, English Literature, English, Literary Arts, Linguistics, English as a Second Language Teaching (EU only).
• Exceptional research skills to gather relevant information and understand complex topics.
• Ability to adapt writing style to suit various style guidelines and target customers.
• Talented creative writers, translators, freelancers with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent field to help train generative artificial intelligence models to become better writers.
• Ability to make logical decisions while performing tasks even when provided information is ambiguous.
• Research skills to navigate and synthesize multiple resources; understanding of basic academic integrity, i.e., plagiarism.
• This will be an onsite role, and candidate should be flexible be ready at hand to meet delivery targets.

Key job responsibilities

• Create original and engaging content across multiple work types to train generative AI models.
• Write clear, concise, factually and grammatically correct responses that adheres to SOP and style guidelines to create visually appealing and effective content.
• Proofread and edit content to ensure high-quality standards, accuracy, and consistency.
• Research and verify content quality based on Content Guidelines. Approve or reject contents based on pre-defined guidelines and explain logical reasoning behind approve/reject decision.
• Perform quality checks by reviewing and proofreading; provide feedback and training to coworkers and external vendors to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to monitor quality progress, investigate quality variations, develop and implement measures to drive quality improvement.
• Develop a deep understanding of the subject matter expert (SMEs) for processes on the floor and collaborate with stakeholder teams to test new SOPs to gather insights, validate information, and ensure accuracy in content creation.
• Support our leadership, business, and technical teams by actively participating in training, project/program management, etc., based on the group’s needs and your own skills and inclinations.

As a Content writer you will work with stakeholders and language engineers to test SOPs, collect insights, and validate data. You will also devote time to analyzing customer feedback and engagement metrics in order to improve and refine the content over time. Time management and attention to detail are essential when juggling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and constantly adapting to customer needs and emerging AI trends. Alexa Shopping Operations is a team with a mission to help create a world class shopping experience for Amazon customers. Our north star goal is to enable the expansion of seamless shopping experience in everyday life at voice commands by simply interacting with the smart devices like Amazon Show, Spot, Echo, Dot, Tap or Alexa on Amazon App.

We work on labelling the data sets for model training and analyzing the data sets for improving customer experience. These data sets generated are consumed by engineering teams like Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning Science to develop, test and train the Alexa models with the highest quality data for improving the shopping experience.

• Prior experience of 2-4 years in content writing. Knowledge of American culture and communication nuances will be a plus. Additionally, multicultural communication experience would be an asset.
• Prior Experience in catalog content writing
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong typing speed of 50 words per minute (wpm) or above, ensuring efficient content creation and productivity.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence interaction, such as prompt generation and open AI’s
