The purpose of this job is to drive effective Talent Management and Organizational Development practices across Birla Opus in alignment with the Talent Strategy and philosophy of ABG through interventions in the areas of Leadership development, Development Assessment Centres, Succession Planning, Top Team Effectiveness and Employee Engagement.

Key Challenges For The Role

• Ensuring acceptance and understanding of the interventions by the business and getting BHR teams aligned on process.
• Influencing stakeholders across levels where the role has no authority, ensuring buy-in and timely implementation.
• Devising interventions for future readiness in the rapidly changing environment.

• Identify organisational needs with regards to talent management and development by collaborating with stakeholder groups.
• Initiate and conceptualise effective interventions based on the needs like DAC, IDP creation, Check ins etc
• Conduct pilot programs to analyse effectiveness where necessary and feasible
• Seek buy in from key stakeholders across business in collaboration with the HR & Talent Head
• Collaborate with BHR team members to execute initiatives.
• Provide training and ensure support to the HR team members in charge of executing the initiatives.
• Implement planned programs and monitoring progress, process adherence, and ROI and effectiveness.

Drive the design and implementation of Talent Management initiatives for senior leaders and C suite succession planning

• Identify and implement initiatives aimed at effective talent identification, assessment and development of the talent pool of the organization.
• Support in designing and implementing the identification, assessment, and development journey for leadership.
• Ensure Talent councils at Apex, Unit and zonal levels are functional and take decisions around succession pipeline, role movements and enhancements.
• Participate in designing the assessment and development initiatives including IDPs to ensure relevance and alignment to the purpose.
• Put in place governance mechanisms to track progress and achievement of milestones.
• Create career paths by identifying CXO / larger and well-suited roles for participants and placing them. Support in transitioning them into the new roles and track their progress

Drive top team effectiveness initiatives across businesses

• Leadership meets: Design and implementation of OPUS top team huddle. The themes and the coverage of leaders will be based on organizational priorities and specific outcomes expected from Leaders.
• Executive Coaching: Centrally manage coaching interventions for vertical heads & above. This will include liaising with external bodies for coach identification, engagement, and progress tracking.
• Special interventions for specific Functions / Businesses / Teams: Support in designing and implementing interventions as and when required to improve team effectiveness. This will involve identification of suitable external experts to lead the intervention and support in designing the intervention. This will also involve action planning, regular dipstick surveys and reviews to ensure progress tracking and follow through on action plans.

Others

Talent councils: Support in preparing for and conducting Apex, Zonal and Functional Talent Councils.

Reporting: Support in maintaining and consolidating data, preparing talent updates, reports on a need basis.

Special projects: Support in designing and implementing projects on a need basis.
