The Portfolio Manager involves proactively organizing teams seeking to continually improve.The role provides leadership and governance for strategic planning, roadmap prioritization and project execution.The ideal candidate will be comfortable seeing the strategic big picture and have strong program and project skills.With a strong handle on Jira, and Tempo the successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders to ensure plans are accurate and Finances are within budgets. Some understanding of finance models is an advantage as support for project capitalisation and innovation tax queries will be expected.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Create and maintain Jira activities such as creation of initiatives and govern the usage of the software throughout the product and R&D organisation.
Create and define best practise for the teams to follow, ensuring time spent is accurately logged against plan.
Creates and maintain product portfolio plans and schedule, including alignment of project dependencies across all impacted areas
Manage PMO resources and overall program/department budget. Staff leadership includes hiring of full time and contingent personnel, empowering the team, energizing team members, developing competence, providing technical leadership, and maintaining team integrity.
Will prepare and create Business case documentation for Next Best Investments
Maintain Portfolio and Program Management skills in alignment with industry standards. Monitors innovations in PPM and explores usefulness and adoption.
Directs and support the efforts of more than one project manager on execution of program initiatives directly, providing guidance and input as necessary to ensure alignment of scope, delivery, issue resolution and leadership.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Education :
Experience :
8 + years of experience researching industry trends, usage analytics, competitive pressures and applying to product strategy & roadmap.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues simply and convincingly to help drive fast decisions.
Extensive commercial track record of managing an agile design-driven, user-centred product and development team supporting the delivery of web/mobile based product(s)
Budgeting and financial planning experience
Hands-on experience with development teams
Hands-on experience integrating complex systems
Understand data transformation best practices
Patience and dedication, with the ability to navigate complex environments though product knowledge and leadership style.
Able to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas
Proven ability to partner effectively across functions, in complex organizations.
Measurable Outcome Focus :
Knows which are the most meaningful KPIs to track across products to drive product OKRs.
Anticipates and addresses roadblocks in product roadmap & development to keep projects on time and in scope.
Product Leadership and Impact:
Can speak confidently about the technology used in each product and the associated benefits and drawbacks (challenges)
Mentors & coaches peers and lower tenured PMs through deliveries and effectiveness
