Role Description:
Be an advocate with obsession for excellence delivering measurable success for Advance Auto Parts stakeholders with secure, scalable, highly available cloud architecture that leverage AWS Cloud services

Develop, maintain, support data products

Primary Skills: Data Engineering, Python Apache Spark, SQL, GIT, Docker/Containers, Cloud Like AWS, AWS EMR, EC2/Azure/Snowflake.

Secondary Skills: Data analysis and Visualizations – Power BI/Tableau/Visualization Using Python Packages.

Good to Have: CI/CD pipeline

Ability to build frameworks and pipelines using AWS EMR, PySpark and Python

Ability to read data from FTP, REST API’s & tables, transform and publish data for analytics and data science team.

Fair understanding on unstructured, semi-structured data, File formats and ability to optimize applications to achieve better performance.

Able to build KPI’s & visualizations for better insights, so that stake holders can take business decisions

Able to write SQL for solving complex business problems in snowflake.

Understanding on database & data modelling for organizing data in a most precise way.

Good knowledge on GIT, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker/Containers.

Should be able to assess the current environment and propose the ETL Solutions

Propose Standard and Best Practices by leveraging AWS Services such as EC2, EMR, RDS, Cloudwatch etc ..

Apply creative thinking/approach to arrive at technical solutions that enhance business goals and align with corporate technology strategies.

Help Application teams in onboarding the feeds into the built-in frameworks

Develop prototypes, technical proof of concepts and code with various solutions and convert platform architecture blueprints to real life working artifacts

Education and/or experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related; and

8-10 years of professional experience in data engineering, or related field; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience
